The Stories of Gender exhibition will be showing at Leeds City Museum on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9.
A community co-curated show – in collaboration with research undertaken at the University of Leeds – Stories of Gender brings together personal narratives of people from West Yorkshire who have lived experiences of gender identity and insights they have to offer others.
Told through oral histories and different objects from the collections at Leeds Museums & Galleries, Stories of Gender is an exclusive two-day exhibition taking place in the main Brodrick Hall of the museum.
Explore local people’s stories, think about gender a different way via music and mixtapes, learn some LBGTQ+ history, and take the opportunity to think about the future of gender.
Entry is free and no need to book in advance.
