X Factor star Dylan Holloway, who auditioned for the competition in 2012 with Simeon Dixon in their group MK1, has come out as trans and has shared his inspiring story to his 25k followers on Instagram.
The musician, who now makes music under the name Dylan And The Moon, opened up about his transition while speaking about his music.
He said: “I’m a musician and I’m also a transgender man. I make indie pop music and I used to release music under my old name Lots Holloway.
“Since transitioning I’ve been using my old vocal recordings and old vocals of myself to harmonize and duet with my former self because I want people to know it’s ok to embrace who you’ve been because they’ve brought you to be who you are now.’
Fans flocked to his comments in praise of speaking so confidently about his transition.
Some comments read: “So creative what you’re doing and a great message you shared as well, love seeing what you do.”
