Play Something Nice for Joesef

Simon Pepper caught an intimate gig with Glasgow golden boy, Joesef, who performed a stellar set in Brighton on 20th November. His music was honest, soulful and memorizing. He captivated the new-generation Brighton crowd with an intimate underplay gig on Wednesday night. The audience spent the evening the palm of his hand from the word go, entranced by a voice comparable with Simply Red’s, pop/soul singer, Mick Hucknall whilst reminiscent of Boy George and even, at times, Adele.

Over the first nine months of 2019, Joesef has emerged as one of the most exciting new talents in British music and is undertaking a promotional tour as part of a new collaboration between GAY TIMES and Apple Music: Elevate. The aim of Elevate is to support and platform LGBTQ music talent as they attempt to break through into the mainstream’. Joesef is earmarked to be a huge multi-talented singer-songwriter also does his own mixing and plays every instrument on his recordings.

You can hear his new single from debut EP ‘Play Me Something Nice’ here:

Joesef is one to listen / watch out for in 2020. Brighton Pride 2020 beckons…..

Check out his twitter for up coming gigs and you can catch him this year – December 23, 2019, SWG3, Glasgow, UK.

Go, Go, Go Joesef!
