It’s been a weird old season with the delayed and re-arranged Brighton Fringe offering a mixture of live and virtual shows. Now as we enter our 2nd lockdown, the Fringe presents its last week of streamed shows – available until 8/9 November.
Dipping into its schedule , here’s my pick of what caught my eye, but there’s (much) more available.
The Crooked Spireis billed as a medieval murder mystery musical by AshGate Heritage Arts . It’s actually a work in progress but you get to see a preview of what it might become . It’s by Mary Hennessy, Martin Collette and Peter Gray.
The Escape Room is a visual X-Caper starring Agent November. Experimental gadgets allow us to see through the captured Agent November’s eyes – but only for 60 minutes. Can you solve the puzzle and help him escape?
Train Lord by Oliver Mol is a funny, heartbreaking tale of a 10-month migraine. It’s described as a story of hope, laughter, pain, relationships, drugs, and failed orgies – sounds a bit like lockdown to me !
Queers on the Fringe by Maeve Marsden, writer, director, producer, performer and indecisive lady sees M M host a mixed bag of artists, writers, comedians and musicians for an experiment in intimate entertainment, and all in your own lounge.
As live shows disappear for at least a month, support pre-recorded and live-streaming wherever you see it and watch out for my new series Lockdown Larder bringing you suggestions for streaming back on the old sofa again
