Protographer, Mark Lister from Romford in Essex is hoping to raise £10,000 from the sale of the A3 Project Soaked calendar.

Mark said: “As my project idea was all about men and I wanted to do something for charity, I came across Prostate Cancer UK and realised I didn’t know anything about the prostate let alone prostate cancer. The more I read and the more I spoke to people about it, the more I realised that most men don’t actually know what the prostate is or what it does.”

Director of Fundraising at the charity, Mark Bishop, said; “It’s fantastic to see that Mark Lister has decided to take on this challenge to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. By doing this he and everyone involved are joining Men United and helping to make a real difference in furthering the fight against prostate cancer.”

Since the Men United initiative was launched 12 months ago more than 230,000 have signed up to pledge support. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. More than 10,000 die every year from this men-only disease, and 300,000 men are living with prostate cancer in the UK. The charity works for the early detection, effective diagnosis and better treatments to beat the disease.
