Located on Hove Prom and held on the main Half Marathon race day on Sunday, February 25, the Brighton Half Marathon Youth Races are designed for junior runners aged 7-17. Open to all abilities, youth runners run a mile on Hove Prom, running along part of the main Half Marathon route before the Half Marathon runners come through.
Actually Gay Men’s Chorus, sing at the Royal Pavilion to raise money for the Mayor’s charities, Martlets, Rockinghorse, Off the Fence and The Grace Eyre Foundation.
Marine Tavern, raise £1,545.73 for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity with a series of events over the weekend of May 12-14. The centre piece of the fundraising weekend, the Dragon Boat Race was cancelled due to swans nesting at Brighton Marina where the race was due to be staged.
Justin Lloyd Estate Agents in St James Street will raise money for the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity on September 23 at Sussex County Cricket Ground. They have joined forces with a bunch of local businesses, mainly estate agents and will be looking very silly (nothing new there then!) doing events such as wellie throwing, sumo relay race, melon shot putting and blind golf to name a few!!!!
PIE IN THE SKY, a charity comedy night at Skyfall Restaurant in Hove, will be raising money for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity. This months host, Drag with No Name, will be joined by Keris Lea, hot footing her way back from a sell out run at the Edinburgh Festival.
