Ivor was MP for Hove between 1997-2005, during which time he served in the Labour Government as a PPS, FCO whip, and Minister for veterans at the Ministry of Defence. He was also the first Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on English Language Teaching.

Caroline, the co-leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, has been the MP for Brighton Pavilion since the 2010 general election when she became the Green Party’s first MP. She was re-elected in the 2015 and 2017 general elections with increased majorities.
The Village MCC Church will be assisting the Brighton & Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum in the access area at the Summer of Love Pride festival on Saturday, August 5 on Preston Park. They will be offering temporary tattoos, card readings and providing a listening ear post.
