As volunteer chair of the Brighton & Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum I feel it my responsibility to address the severity of the bulling and intimidation currently taking place on social media in relation to Brighton Pride.
To help preserve local radio, Reverbathon 2018, RadioReverb’s annual fundraiser for Brighton’s not-for-profit radio station, takes place on, March 3, 2018. The event will be raising funds for the community radio station, which aims to be ‘the sound of your city’ by creating programmes that represent the Brighton communities, reflected by their new strapline: ‘We Are Brighton. We are RadioReverb. The sound of your city’.
As part of The B RIGHT ON LGBT Community Festival in February, the Rainbow Fund will be supporting the LGBT Work & Volunteer Fair. The fair, part of LGBT History Month, will take place in the Phil Starr Pavilion in Victoria Gardens on Thursday, February 22, from 10am-4pm.
Dine With The Stars raises £4,207 for The Brighton & Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum (B&H LGBT CSF). Now in its sixth year, Dine with the Stars, the brainchild of ‘Baz’ Barry Nelson (formerly of Queens Hotel, Queens Arms and now the Burgershack at Bar Revenge) returned to the Jurys Inn Waterfront Hotel in Brighton on Thursday, October 12 for a spectacular evening of food, entertainment, dance and fundraising.
The Brighton Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum (B&H LGBT CSF) has its Annual General Meeting tonight at the Queens Hotel, 1-3 Kings Road, Brighton at 7pm. Guest speak for the evening will be Melinda King, Communities Coordinator from the Partnership Community Safety Team who will take questions at the end of her presentation.
The Brighton & Hove Solidarity Vigil, will be held on Saturday October 14, 2017 near the Old Steine Fountain starting at 7pm sharp. Organised by the volunteers of the Brighton & Hove Community Safety Forum (LGBT CSF), the vigil marks International Day of Hope and Remembrance and is the curtain raiser to National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2017 which will take place from October 14 to 21 October 2017 – #NHCAW
A group of LGBT+people from Brighton and the surrounding area have come together to run the Brighton half marathon in February 2018 to raise much-needed funds for the Brighton & Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum (B&H LGBT CSF).

Brighton Bear Weekend (BBW) raised a total of £11,855 for the Rainbow Fund, Lunch Positive and Brighton & Hove Community Safety Forum during their events in 2016-2017. The record breaking amount (£4,000 more than 2015-16) was raised from a variety of events during the year including quiz nights at the Camelford Arms and club nights at Subline as well as their main fundraising events during the Brighton Bear Weekend from June 15-18 which included the hugely successful Bear-B-Que in Dorset Gardens.
