The Marian Consort in the sublime magnificence of All Saints Church in Hove was a wonderful pairing, the acoustics of this marvellous church allowing the resonant rolls of sound that the overlapping harmonic voices of the Consort generated.
Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus (BGMC) will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support at their annual Christmas Concert on Friday, December 15. The chorus will be performing Christmas favourites under the direction of musical director Marc Yarrow and accompanist Tim Nail.

There was hefty representation from the gay composers tonight and the spread of their works balanced the simple but strong lyricism of the first half, with a wonderfully witty encore of a James Fenton poem offered up with panache. This weekend over 200 Yoga lovers will be able to feel the rhythm of the bass as bass lovers tune in to the rhythm of their breathing, when Cat Duval of Brighton’s Nine Lives Yoga brings a Yoga Rave to the city as part of the Brighton Yoga Festival. The Yoga Rave concept combines dance music and yoga with visual effects and UV lighting.
