UK LGBT History Project: Two-years on

This month marks the two-year anniversary of the UK LGBT History Project, an online encyclopaedia documenting the history of LGBT people in the UK.

Founded by Jonathan Harbourne, the encyclopaedia, which now includes over 1,700 articles, is based on the same software as Wikipedia and uses a similar approach, except that is focuses exclusively on LGBT life in the UK and includes articles that would never be considered ‘noble’ enough to be included in Wikipedia.

There’s an article for every county, city and large town in the UK, plus an increasing number of smaller towns and local government districts.
