TV to broadcast live from Pride

Besi Besemar August 27, 2012

Working in association with Latest TV and Noonan Media, Pride TV will introduce live streaming from Preston Park from 3pm – 8pm on Saturday, September 1.

It’s a first for Brighton Pride and will showcase the colour and vibrancy of the ‘United Colours of Pride’ Parade and Festival to an international audience.

With restrictions on holding Pride in many Eastern European countries, Brighton Pride will be beaming messages of support to the LGBT of St Petersburg in Russia where Pride has been banned and new draconian anti-gay laws have been enacted that in effect ban references to homosexuality.

A spokesperson for Brighton Pride, said:

“At Brighton Pride this year we will be standing shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in St Petersburg whose civil rights and liberties are being repressed and support their fight for LGBT equality.”

Brighton Pride TV will not only showcase Brighton to an international audience but will also spread the message of  tolerance and acceptance that we take for granted in Brighton to people all over the world.

As a trailer to Brighton Pride TV going live on Saturday, Latest TV  have produced a guide to LGBT Brighton for visitors to preview and showcase what ‘Gay Brighton’ has to offer the international gay traveller.
