Theme for Pride community parade 2014 announced.
After extensive community consultation the theme of the Pride Community Parade this year will be The World’s A Disco, celebrating music, dance and colours around the globe from the diversity of disco to the sauciness of salsa.
While Brighton Pride remains a celebration of everything that is fabulous about being in Brighton and Hove, this year, like last, organisers will be campaigning on global LGBT issues under the headline theme Freedom To Live and the parade will highlight the plight of those global LGBT communities whose basic right to party and live freely is denied to them.
The Pride Festival in Preston Park promises to exceed last years success with over 35,000 people dancing, partying and celebrating LGBT Pride. Opening times have been extended from noon till 10pm and Preston Park will once again feature the acclaimed main stage packed with live acts and special guests plus eight entertainment areas including dance tents, cabaret, performance, funfair, market and community areas.
Organisers promise a Brighton day out like no other and in the process you will be raising money for local LGBT organisations. £1 of every ticket sold will go to the Rainbow Fund to distribute to local LGBT organisations who provide effective front line services to LGBT people in Brighton and Hove through their grants programme.
The Pride Community Parade will leave Madeira Drive on Saturday, August 2 at 11am.
There are a limited number of Super Early Bird tickets available at £9 and Early Bird tickets costing £12.50 have been frozen at last years prices. If you buy now at last years prices you get two hours extra on the park.
Once the early bird tickets are sold a discounted £15 advance (first release) will be available for a limited period then tickets increase to £17.50/£20 and more on the day.

Pride Directors Paul Kemp and Dulcie Weaver set up Brighton Pride Community Interest Company to organise a two week Arts and film festival and to stage the Pride Festival and Parade on Saturday August 2, 2014 and the Brighton Pride Arts and Film Festival July 18 – August 3, 2014
£1 per head for each ticket sold is ring fenced for the Rainbow Fund to distribute through their grants program to LGBT organisations, along with any profits after operational costs.
