Tickets sales for this years event are very healthy following the return of the main stage to Preston Park and the announcement of a line-up that includes major recording artists including Paloma Faith (DJ set), Alison Moyet, The Original Sugababes line up MKS, Stooshe and Mz Dynamite.

Pride Director Paul Kemp, said:

“Although Pride is a great opportunity to celebrate the diversity of our City and community, we never forget our main priority is fundraising for the Rainbow Fund who provide grants to our local LGBT/HIV organisations to deliver front line services to the LGBT community 365 days of the year. The grants are administered independently through the Sussex Community Foundations grant programme.

“Many business do very well over the Pride weekend and we’re grateful for the support of local businesses who contribute to the general fundraising efforts by staging fundraisers or just by putting money in the pride buckets. We are hopeful that 2013 will beat all previous records.”

“With sales so far well up on last year, we are also tackling some of the issues flagged up from last year. We have new e ticket systems to avoid collection of tickets on the day and to help speed up entry to the park. We’re also increasing the amount of toilets on the park and spreading the main entertainment across the site to help avoid queues. This years Pride is one of the most anticipated ever and is set to be a groundbreaking year for LGBT Brighton & Hove.”
