On July 29, they held a screening of the film Victim to mark the 50th anniversary of the passing of the 1967 Sexual Offences Act which partially decriminalised homosexual acts in England and Wales between adult males.

This landmark 1961 film of LGBT+ cinema starring Dirk Bogarde and Sylvia Syms paved the way for a change in attitudes to gay people.

The film was screened at the Hart pub in Eastbourne who kindly provided refreshments.

Contributions from those attending were made in aid of Sussex Beacon. A total of £155 was raised to further the work of the charity.
