‘Do you like Pina Coladas?’ If so, seafront bar and cultural hotspot Patterns will celebrate National Pina Colada Day, tomorrow, Sunday July 10 with a Sunday Social special.
Dress like Del Boy and don your tropical prints as Patterns will be rewarding the winner of Best Dressed on Pina Colada Day with bottomless Pina Coladas. Think Hawaiian prints, Del Boy, Milky Joe from The Mighty Boosh, grass skirts and general tropical expression.
Patterns will also be unveiling a limited edition Pina Cola-dog in partnership with resident gourmet hot dog restaurant The Dog Haus, a zingy BBQ’d pineapple salsa loaded topping (made with pineapple, peppers, coriander and red onion), chilli jam and a coriander and mint yoghurt on a pork dog. Hot tropical dawgs!
The Sunday Club kicks off at 12:30, with a unique fusion of social hangout, cabaret and open mic all rolled into one and interspersed with bite-sized chunks of entertainment and information.
Patterns’ sun-drenched outdoor terrace will be transformed into a tropical haven all afternoon with pineapples a plenty and the Pina Collider DJS (Namedrop and Phil), playing yacht rock, low slung grooves and exotic beats until late.
As well as all this, if you’re fed up with digital dating and want to use the common ground of Pina Coladas to meet a fellow Pina enthusiast in real life, in an homage to Rupert Holmes’ infamous 1979 Pina anthem Patterns will be using their matchmaking prowess in their first ever ‘Pina Colada Love Match’.
Try Patterns £15 weekend bottomless boozy brunch, available from 12pm – 16:00 (last bottomless orders at 15:30) which includes a hotdog and bottomless Prosecco, Bloody Mary, or for one day only…. BOTTOMLESS PINA COLADAS!
For anyone off the alcohol, Virgin Pina Coladas will also be on the menu throughout the day.
