Get your handbags at the ready for the annual Golden Handbags Big Quiz Challenge at Charles Street tonight, Tuesday, May 12.
Twenty one teams will be battling it out to see who are the brainiest gays in the village and kick off the voting for the Golden Handbag Awards 2015.
The lovely, vivacious slimline Lola Lasagne will be your Quiz Mistress for the evening and businesses, community organisations and social network groups have entered teams of six players including: Lunch Positive, Peer Action, LGBT Community Safety Forum, Terrence Higgins Trust, Rainbow Families, Rainbow Chorus, MindOut, Revenge, Queens Arms, Marine Tavern, Charles Street, Subline, Ellis & Merlin, Justin Lloyd Estate Agents, Radio Reverb, Sussex Police and Wilmas Wonders.
The winners will receive the first Golden Handbag of the season, “The Brainiest Gays in the Village” Handbag, currently held by Subline club/bar in St James Street.
Entry is £25 per team and takes place at Charles Street, 8 Marine Parade, Brighton, get there at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
The event is supported by Charles Street and Gscene Magazine.
All money raised during the evening will be donated to the Rainbow Fund to distribute through their independent grants programme to LGBT/HIV organisations providing effective front line services to the LGBT/HIV communities in Brighton and Hove in their September grants round.
