In 2012, Reverend Oliver White lost two thirds of his congregation, his home and his Church, when he voiced his support for same-sex marriage.

Last November, the Reverend found his new church in St Paul, Minnesota and has launched an LGBT Program, Churches for Safe Spaces which he hopes to expand to churches across the country who are on the verge of opening their doors to everyone.

Initial Programs Includes:

• Bringing together a network of churches that will adopt the Safe Spaces program, similar to the Safe Spaces Campaign in schools

• Connect with LGBT programs across the nation to create an LGBT resource hub for churches throughout the country

• Appoint LGBT Program Directors

• Offer marriage equality messaging and acceptance teachings to other churches

• Deliver outreach campaigns to churches including: youth employment, community involvement and poverty
