Sheila McWattie February 2, 2014

Brand-new LGBT blog offers writers free opportunity to see their work published online during LGBT History Month.

FioxiRose

Creative writers of all ages, backgrounds and cultures who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans (LGBT), and their significant others, are being offered a free opportunity to have an example of their work published on Febulous February, an innovative site celebrating this year’s LGBT History Month.

FioxiRose, a writer, performance poet and lesbian born in Glasgow and now living in Kent, is inviting friends, colleagues and associates to submit a short piece of their own writing for digital publication during LGBT History Month 2014.

The pieces – a vibrant mix of prose and poetry – may have specific LGBT content or simply come from that perspective, sharing universal themes.

Margate-based FioxiRose said: “Our writing will culminate in the creation of Febulous February (2014), an anthology which celebrates us in all our beautiful queerness, as well as embedding a landmark in our LGBT history.”

From secret scribes among you who have never dared to share your writing, to seasoned writers who have been published before, this project is designed to encourage diverse contributions, highlighting the fantastic creative potential of LGBT History Month.

Publication is already under way and creating quite a buzz, with at least one new piece of writing being posted each day on the specially created FEBULOUS FEBRUARY BLOG:

FioxiRose continued: “February’s clock is ticking – so what are you waiting for? Please have a go at producing up to 150 words on that empty page – you know you want to – and help make Febulous February (2014) a highly memorable LGBT History Month anthology.

“To share your piece of writing on the website, please submit it to me as soon as possible at fionarose@gmail.com
