Voting in the 2015 Golden Handbag Awards closes tonight, June 12 at midnight.
AS of noon, more than 6,300 people have voted online in what has been the largest online vote in the history of the awards which have run annually since 1995.
This year, 3,000 people voted in the first four days of online voting, smashing all previous records.
The closest categories as of this morning are Favourite Sunday Lunch, Favourite Hotel, Favourite Entertainer (drag) and Favourite Small Bar where there are 5 venues in with a chance of taking the crown.
James Ledward, editor of Gscene Magazine said: “With no voting forms in the printed copy of the magazine this year, we have had the biggest online vote ever. 50% of the categories have just 50 votes between the top two contenders. Good luck to everyone involved and remember winning a Golden Handbags is a privilege not a right!”

Tickets are on sale for this year’s glittering awards ceremony, hosted by Lola Lasagne and featuring comediennes Zoe Lyons and Myra Dubois, powerhouse singer Jennie Castell and the brilliant Drag With No Name.
The awards will take place on Sunday, June 22 in the Oxford Suite at the Brighton Metropole Hilton Hotel.
All VIP tables have been sold.
If you’re not on a VIP table, unreserved single tickets, costing £20 each can be purchased from Prowler, 112 St James’s Street, Brighton.
Prowler don’t charge a handling fee for this service and all payments must be settled in cash in person at Prowler. These seats are not reserved and are allocated on the public tables on a first come, first served basis on the night.
Online voting this year closes on Friday, June 12 at midnight.
