Light up the night

BRITISH soprano Charlotte JaconelliĀ teams up here with Australian tenorĀ Daniel Koek,Ā one of musical theatreā€™s brightest stars, and Britainā€™s Got Talent Winner Jai McDowall for an amazing live show:Ā Light Up the Night.

Charlotte shot to fame on Britainā€™s Got Talent as half of Jonathan and Charlotte, the duo that won the nationā€™s heart after Jonathon ignored Simon Cowell’s advice to go forward as a solo singer. He chose to remain in the competition as a duo with Charlotte and they went on to come second to Pudsey the dog.

Last year Charlotte released her solo albumĀ Solitaire,Ā which fired this engaging young singer into theĀ great British tradition of artists such as Katherine Jenkins and Sarah Brightman.

Daniel Koek is firmly established as one of music theatreā€™s leading men with a catalogue of roles to his name. Apart from his runaway success playing Jean Valjean in Les MisĆ©rables in Londonā€™s West End, recently he has played Tony in the 50th anniversary production of West Side Story and Anatoly Sergievsky in Craig Revel Horwoodā€™s award-winning production of Chess, which toured the UK and Italy. HeĀ then went on to perform Lt Cable in the Lincoln Centre Production of South Pacific that premiered at the Barbican in London. Daniel has been working on his new solo album HighĀ to be released in April.

Jai MacDowall rose to fame when he won the fifth series of Britainā€™s Got Talent in June 2011. After winning he performed on the Britainā€™s Got Talent Tour and went on to perform at the 2011 Royal Variety Performance. He has since performed on the live final of Chinaā€™s Got Talent, performed at the Queen’s Jubilee, and headlined his own Scottish tour. His debut album Believe was released in December 2011 and he is currently recording the follow-up for release this year.

Light Up The Night features songs from Phantom, Les MisƩrables, West Side Story, James Bond, Moulin Rouge and much more.
