Welcome to Exmouth Pride!

Following their first successful Pride last year, Exmouth Pride returns today with a much bigger event.

The entertainment kicks off at noon in Manor Gardens hosted by Radio Exe’s Ashley Jeary and the programme will  include:

♦ Honiton Twirlstars – 12.20pm

♦ That’ll be the Day – classic covers band 1pm

♦ Spectrum Choir – 2.20pm

♦ Kyle Finn – solo artist –  3.15pm

♦ Wired – rock/pop band – 4.30pm

Exmouth Pride is for LGBT people, their families and friends to celebrate diversity together. Attractions in the gardens include the Gay Classic Car Club – Gay Bikers Club – BBQ – food stalls – Disney pop toys – Big Bear coffee van – A fully licensed bar – face-painting – bouncy castle – chocolate lolly decorating and body piercing

The entertainment in the gardens concludes at 6.30pm and will be followed by an after party at Spoken, 43 Strand, Exmouth EX8 1AL moving on to Fever & Boutique, 7 Parade, Exmouth EX8 1RS at 10.30pm, where there will be a drag show.

Brighton Pride Parade and Park Grant Fund opens

Brighton & Hove City Council launches its annual Brighton Pride Parade and Park Partnership Fund for 2016.

Pride is the city’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender festival and these grants are to support third sector partners in delivery of a safe and accessible community celebration as part of Pride Brighton & Hove.

A total of £10,000 has been allocated to support local community groups, voluntary organisations and not-for-profit social enterprise with funding up to £1,000 towards Pride Parade & Park activities, August 6, 2016.

The deadline for making an application is July 16.
