Bear Patrol collection tins appeal gets closer to 500 target!

380 collection tins already donated – 120 left to go !

WEB.600

Last month Bear Patrol, the social networking group for bears and their friends launched a new community fundraising project to purchase a new batch of collection tins to help further promote the services of The Sussex Beacon and to increase the amount of tins circulated in the local community.

The new tins are white in colour, will also include security chains and the Beacon’s new logo which is due to be rolled out in April 2016.

Bear Patrol are asking community members to donate just £2 each which will cover the cost of purchasing one collection tin. Bear Patrol are aiming to purchase a batch order of 500 collection tins by the end of March.

If you would like to support and purchase a Sussex Beacon collection tin, click the donation link below and donate £2. If you want to purchase more than 1 tin amend the amount you wish to donate (i.e. 5 tins = £10) and when you have made your donation you can also leave a message of support as you wish.

When a visitor arrives in a bourgeois Italian household and begins to serially seduce each member of its family, the very fabric of their beings is indelibly changed. Who is this bisexual figure and what threat do they pose to the traditional family structure?

Through a consideration of the figure of the bisexual in late nineteenth and twentieth century discourse and culture, we begin to see how artistic representations of bisexuality speak to larger questions of shame and desire, boundary and fluidity, order and chaos.

Jacob Engelberg is the Programmer of Eyes Wide Open Cinema, a queer film strand based in Brighton. He recently completed a Masters degree in Sexual Dissidence.
